Vítězslav Jandák
Vítězslav Jandák (born August 3, 1947 in Prague ) is a Czech actor and former Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic.
life and career
Vítězslav Jandák originally wanted to study law. Nothing came of this dream, however, as his father was imprisoned in the sixties, first for state riot and later for high treason. So he found his way into acting and graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1970 . Jandák has appeared in over 70 film and television shows since 1969. He often embodied authority figures such as police officers or officers in films. In Germany he is best known for his role as the prince's companion in the popular fairy tale film Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella (1973), during which Jandák broke his tailbone and had to receive medical care before each scene. He also directed the Zlín Children's Film Festival for many years .
Jandák was a member of the House of Representatives between 2005 and 2013 . After the death of the Czech Minister of Culture Pavel Dostál , he was the most promising candidate for his office. The independent actor was appointed to the government by Prime Minister Jiří Paroubek on August 17, 2005 . Less than a year later he was replaced in this position by his fellow actor Martin Štěpánek . After leaving parliament, Jandák returned to work as an actor.
Vítezslav Jandák is the chairman of the Prague club lion cub , the asthmatic helps children. He has two grown children.
