The return of the fairy tale bride (in Czech Original: Arabela se vrací ) is a Czech Fantasy - Children series by director Václav Vorlíček and scriptwriter miloš macourek in 1993. The series is a continuation of the series Arabela . The Czechoslovak Television has continued in cooperation with the West German Radio produced (WDR).

content

A central plot element of the series is a prophecy addressed to the evil magician Rumburak, in which the fairytale island of Pultanella plays an important role.

The former fairytale princess Arabella has been happily married to the inventor Peter for ten years in the world beyond the fairy tale kingdom. The two now have their own apartment. Mr. Majer, Peter's father, has since passed away. Arabella works as a translator between humans and animals, since she has understood animal language since eating the meat of a white snake. The couple want children in the future.

In the meantime, her old opponent, the powerless magician Rumburak, leads a miserable existence. While his helper, the witch, who now calls herself Mrs. Schwarz, works as a fortune teller, Rumburak does not manage to get on a green branch in the human world. However, when he visits Frau Schwarz once and wants to hear something about his future, she predicts that he could become King of Wonderland if he meets certain conditions: for example, he should have children with grandfathers.

A little later Rumburak learns that Arabella is actually expecting a child from Peter. In addition, the magician hears about the island of Pultanella in the fairy tale kingdom, where special apples are grown. If a mother-to-be eats such an apple, her child is born old and gets younger and younger until its death. In this way everything seems to fit together: To fulfill the prophecy, Rumburak steals such an apple on Pultanella and cheers it on the unsuspecting Arabella.

The next day, Arabella gives birth to two grandfathers instead of a baby. From now on, nothing is as it was. In the fairy tale world a amorous but voracious giant walks around and apparently devours fairy tale characters little by little. Peter's brother Hans and his girlfriend Margreth go into the fairy tale world to reverse the transformation of babies into grandfathers.

synchronization

While most of the leading actors in Die Märchenbraut took over their roles again, this was only the case with the voice actors in a few cases. Only Tommi Piper (Rumburak), Holger Hagen (Vigo), Karin Anselm (Queen) and Dinah Hinz-Weiss (Miriam Müller / Frau Stunk) could be heard in the same roles again. In some cases speakers from back then can be heard in other roles. This is how Karin Kernke, who was heard as a witch (later Frau Schwarz), speaks here as the crispy witch. Michael Narloch, who spoke the Rumburak in the GDR variant The beautiful Arabella and the magician , can be heard here as Hyazinth Maier.

Others

In the continuation of the series is u. a. Vladimír Menšík , who died in 1988 and played Mr. Maier in the series The Fairy Tale Bride , is no longer there. The former Arabella actress Jana Nagyová could no longer be signed. Miroslava Šafránková took over her role (the younger sister of Libuse Safrankova from Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella ).
