Gert Kießling
Gert Kießling (born July 7, 1944 in Böhlitz-Ehrenberg near Leipzig) is a German cabaret artist .
Life
After attending school in Leipzig , Kießling completed vocational training as a telecommunications fitter and then became a decorator at the Leipzig Opera. He then studied at the Berlin drama school.
After completing his acting studies engagement at the Thuringian State Theater in Eisenach. Then change to the " thistle ". There he made his debut in 1978 with the program “Einstieg Please” (director: Otto Stark) and has remained loyal to the Distel ever since. There he worked with various directors and artistic directors of the Distel ( Otto Stark , Gisela Oechelhaeuser , Heinz Lyschik , Peter Ensikat , Frank Lüdecke and others). Today's artistic director of the Distel, Frank Lüdecke, describes him as “one of the last elemental forces in cabaret”.
In almost 30 “Distel” years, Gert Kießling took part in over 30 Distel programs and made well over a million viewers laugh. On October 8, 2007 he played his last performance at the Distel with the program “Nullrunde”.
In addition, Kießling worked as a voice actor. He is u. a. the German voice of "Holm" in the Danish cult series " Die Olsenbande ". He also dubbed Stan Laurel in the DEFA versions of the Laurel and Hardy films “ His Majesty's Personal Chefs ” and “ The Brothers of the Devil (Fra Diavolo) ” . He was involved in various television productions, e.g. B. the satirical show "The Sharp Channel", as well as guest appearances at the " Mitternachtsspitzen " in the WDR.
