Miloš Macourek
Miloš Macourek (born December 2, 1926 in Kroměříž , † September 30, 2002 in Prague ) was a Czech author and filmmaker.
Macourek initially worked as a printer, set builder, warehouse worker and publishing editor, before making his first appearance in 1958 as the author of a poetry book.
In the following years Macourek was able to establish himself as a screenwriter. B. for a number of feature films and cartoons. He had a special friendship with the Prague director Václav Vorlíček .
Numerous children's books originate from his pen, which have been translated into several languages and also produced for television. These include classics such as For example: The Flying Ferdinand , The Fairy Tale Bride , The Magic Raven Rumburak , The Return of the Fairy Tale Bride , The Girl on the Broomstick or A Hamster in a Nightgown .
