Jiří Lábus (born January 26, 1950 in Prague ) is a Czech actor .

Life

Jiří Lábus' father worked as an architect , his mother was a theater nurse. In this way he often got into the theater and was so fascinated by it at a young age that he eventually took up the profession of actor.

In addition to theater engagements, Jiří Lábus has become known to a wide audience primarily through his roles in Czech fairy tale and children's films (Pan Tau; The Visitors) . His embodiment of the devious “court magician of the second category” Rumburak in the successful series The Fairy Tale Bride (ČSSR 1979) and its sequels The Magic Raven Rumburak (ČSSR 1984) and The Return of the Fairy Tale Bride (Czech Republic 1993) is particularly popular .

Jiří Lábus also works as a voice actor and lends his voice to Marge in The Simpsons . He also did dubbing for M * A * S * H and Ice Age .

In 2015, Jiří Lábus stood next to George Hardy , Katy Karrenbauer and Helmut Krauss for the German film Goblin - That's Real Troll in front of the camera. The film was released in 2019.

Jiří Lábus has a younger brother named Ladislav (* 1951) who, like his father, became an architect.
