occupation

Wolfsmilch is a German crime film by Hajo Gies from 2008. It is the 298th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the 38th case for Schmücke and Schneider .

action

By chance the decayed corpse of a woman is found in a car while working in the hall . She was the wife and business partner of Nicola Wallner, an Italian restaurant owner, and is said to have fled to Argentina a few years ago with 500,000 euros to avoid being investigated into organized crime. Commissioners Schmücke and Schneider initially assume an accident. Prosecutor Meissner sees it differently and firmly believes in a murder. At that time she had to stop the investigation against Nicola Wallner. When Seibt , member of the state parliament , wants to meet with public prosecutor Meissner to testify about the disappearance of Ms. Wallner, he dies in a traffic accident on the way there. While Schmücke and Schneider see no connection between the two dead, continue to assume accidents and their superior wants to close the files, Iris Meissner vehemently insists on further investigations. Schmücke and Schneider first observe police advisor Heim, whom the public prosecutor considers to be involved. They witness a conspiratorial meeting between Heim, Vera Seibt, senior public prosecutor Werner and bank director Siegbert Maus. As expected, the investigations of the commissioners are initially obstructed again and again and do not lead to the complete investigation of the economic crime from that time, but when investigating the circumstances of Ms. Wallner's death, the investigators can prove a murder, because the woman was poisoned on the basis of a toxicological examination. When Schmücke presented his evidence to police advisor Heim, he shot himself in front of Schmücke's eyes. He knew that his childhood friend Wallner had poisoned his wife at a meal in his restaurant. After the investigators were able to find the poison that Wallner had kept in his safe deposit box and thus prove that his wife was murdered, Nicola Wallner was arrested.

For the murder of Seibt, the investigators convict bank director Siegbert Maus, who at the time embezzled the 500,000 with a forged payout slip and had drawn suspicion on Ms. Wallner.

background

Wolfsmilch was produced by Saxonia Media on behalf of the MDR and first broadcast on November 2, 2008 in the first at prime time.

criticism

Tilmann P. Gangloff writes: “Author and producer Hans-Werner Honert confronts the two aging inspectors Schmücke and Schneider with what is probably the most difficult case of their careers - and thus paves the way for 'Wolfsmilch' to become one of the best 'Police Call' contributions from Halle. The complex story goes from private misfortune to the redevelopment of the city. Hajo Gies staged inconspicuously, but kept the basic tension at a high level. "
