The main guest stars of this episode are Luise Bähr , Helmut Zierl , Florian Fitz , Antje Schmidt and Henning Baum .

action

The chief detective Schmücke and Schneider are called to the Halle Ballhaus, where they find the young dancer Isabel Rösler. She was killed with a metal pipe and her knees were also smashed. Imprints found at the crime scene that indicate crutches are puzzling for the inspectors, as is the large amount of cash Rösler had with him. It turns out that Isabel had a secret relationship with her married dance teacher Guido Schmidt. She was also three months pregnant. Marion Schmidt lets the commissioners know that her husband is professionally dependent on her, because the ballroom belongs to her. An examination of Isabel Rösler's computer reveals that the hard drive has been removed and all of the floppy disks have disappeared.

Isabel Rösler worked in geriatric care with Lothar Brückner, her husband is also employed there. Brückner tells the commissioners that the couples Sandra Geissler and Helge Dombrowski as well as Isabel Rösler and Frank Uhlich used to be the dance stars of the club, if they had danced nobody else would have had a chance. Dombrowski will probably never be able to dance again due to an accident.

There is another attack, this time on Frank Uhlich. He is hospitalized seriously injured. His kneecap was smashed too. And again the inspectors come across crutch marks at the crime scene. After a tip from the dancer Sandra Geissler, the investigation finally took a turn. The perpetrator has deliberately left false traces on the scene in order to steer the investigation in a direction he wanted. Geissler tells the inspectors about the accident in which the car in which the four of them were sitting rolled over. Nothing happened to anyone except Helge Dombrowski, who was seriously injured. In the past, Dombrowski had called a Marcel Krause again and again. He admits to the commissioners that he and Dombrowski have a relationship, but that Dombrowski does not want anyone to know anything about it. It turns out that Dombrowski, who can already walk quite well again, has kept quiet about his treatment successes in order to get a higher pension from the insurance company, since he will hardly be able to work as a hairdresser in his parents' business anymore.

Further investigations lead to Brückner, whose mother died nine months ago. It was looked after by Isabel Rösler, who had had large amounts of money since then. Ms. Brückner's family doctor had stated that the cause of death was old age. The commissioners learn that she has bequeathed a beautiful old villa to her son, who has a fondness for expensive old cars. The buyer tells the officials that the purchase of the property failed shortly before a deal because the old lady suddenly withdrew. Well, that was done with her death.

A CD that Schmücke and Schneider received from Sandra reveals that Brückner helped with the death of his mother. He must have given her the anticoagulant medication she had to take in an overdose over a long period of time, which sooner or later would lead to the old lady's death. Isabel Rösler had found out and blackmailed him. Brückner is arrested for two murders and two murder attempts. In addition to Frank Uhlich, he also recently tried to get rid of Sandra Geissler, as she tried to continue the blackmail attempts of her friend Isabel in order to help the police detain Isabel's murderer.
