Rayk Gaida

Rayk Gaida (born May 3, 1964 in Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

As a child, Rayk Gaida played in DEFA and German TV radio films , including the series Polizeiruf 110 and The Public Prosecutor Has the Word . Professionally, Gaida came to acting late and indirectly. After attending school, he trained as an electrical mechanic from 1980 to 1982 . From 1984 he worked in his learned profession, also as a computer supervisor, caretaker, postman and policeman. In 1987 he made up his Abitur and studied from 1990 to 1994 at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . Gaida began his stage career at the Quedlinburg Theater . In 1994 he played at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam , after which he was engaged in Halle until 2005 . Briefly engaged at the Theater Baden-Baden , Gaida came to the Theater Rudolstadt in 2006 , whose ensemble he belonged to until 2011 and where he continues to perform as a guest. Gaida has also been on the AIDA cruise ships since 2013 . Gaida has been a permanent member of the Rudolstadt Theater again since 2017.

Some of Gaida's theater roles to this day have been Malvolio in the Shakespeare comedy What you want , William Shakespeare himself in Ephraim Kishon's play It was the nightingale , the director in Gretchen 89ff by Lutz Hübner , judge Walter im Zerbrochnen Krug by Heinrich von Kleist , Reinhard Heydrich in an adapted stage version of the television film Die Wannsee Conference by Paul Mommertz or the Kürmann in Max Frisch's biography: Ein Spiel . He appears on cruise ships with readings, in musicals, drama and singing shows. In addition, Gaida sporadically directs amateur theater productions.

Rayk Gaida occasionally also works in front of the camera. He was seen as a guest in various television series and had a supporting role in the literary film adaptation of Erich Loest's novel Nikolaikirche .
