Electrical mechanic

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Electrician is an apprenticeship in the craft , the content in the fields of electrical engineering , information technology and mechanics / engineering covering that today even with the box word mechatronics or in Switzerland Automatiker be called.

Germany

The apprenticeship lasted three and a half years with a final journeyman's examination before the electrical guild of the Chamber of Crafts or, if training in an industrial company, a skilled worker examination by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce .

Training content

The training regulations were laid down in the regulation on vocational training for electrical mechanics (Electromechanical Training Regulation - EMEAusbV). The training content was described as follows (version of December 16, 1987):

  1. Vocational training,
  2. Structure and organization of the training company,
  3. Labor and collective bargaining law, occupational safety,
  4. Occupational safety, environmental protection, data protection and rational use of energy,
  5. Reading and using technical documents,
  6. Dealing with customers, advising customers,
  7. Planning the workflow, scheduling tools, materials and spare parts,
  8. Processing of materials,
  9. Assembly of mechanical, electromechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies and devices,
  10. Installation of lines and other equipment,
  11. Measuring electrical quantities,
  12. Commissioning of modules and devices,
  13. Maintenance, inspection and repair of assemblies and devices,
  14. Design, manufacture and assembly of circuit boards
  15. Checking the function of digital and analog circuits,
  16. Testing and setting of electromechanical equipment including measurement, control and regulation technology,
  17. Programming and using software,
  18. Selection and use of interfaces,
  19. Manufacture, commissioning and maintenance of electromechanical devices and systems, including information electronics.

In the Reutlingen Chamber of Crafts , the job description of the electromechanic was divided into the two fields of "electrical engineering" (plant construction, installation) and "electronics" (measurement, control and regulation technology). The job title was then z. B. "Electromechanics, FR Electronics".

Training opportunities

After attending the master’s school for two years and passing the master’s examination, the title master could be acquired, which entitles the holder to found a craft company.

Succession

Due to the increasing complexity of electronics and information technology in particular, the training regulations were restructured and training as an electrical mechanic in Germany was discontinued on August 1, 2003. The mechatronics technician can be viewed as a successor because of the broad range of topics covered . More specialized training occupations are e.g. B .:

Switzerland

On January 1, 1998, the training regulations for electromechanics were suspended and replaced by automation technicians.
