Electromechanical master
The electromechanical master in Switzerland was a higher technical examination carried out by Swissmechanic .
In Germany, the master craftsman examination was suspended in 2002 and replaced by the master’s examination in electrical engineering.
Switzerland
Admission requirements were:
- Apprenticeship as an automation technician / electrical mechanic
- at least 5 years in the profession
- Master's course completed
The exam also included a practical exam.
The first version of the regulations is dated March 8, 1956, the last to August 25, 1995.
The last exams took place in 2005 in German-speaking Switzerland and in 2007 in French-speaking Switzerland.
