Martin Polasek (born December 18, 1955 in Vienna ) is an Austrian television and theater director .

Live and act

Martin Polasek has been with ORF since 1980 , where he works as a television director in various fields. In this role he was responsible for numerous television broadcasts of concerts, theater and opera performances. He designed television portraits of artists and journalistic documentaries and staged entertainment and show formats, such Phettbergs Nette Leit Show or TV programs from Project X . Polasek and Ingrid Ahrer received the 2008 adult education television award for his documentary Reise zum Unforschten Grund des Horizonts (2008), produced for 3sat , about Gert Jonke . He also works as a theater director, for example in 1998 he staged Biedermann and the Arsonists at the Villach studio stage. Polasek also teaches at various universities. He worked as a lecturer for video design and direction at the Zurich University of the Arts and as a lecturer at the Danube University Krems .
