Jugendwahn is a German crime film by Bodo Fürneisen from 2001. It is the 225th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the 15th case for the Halle inspectors Schmücke and Schneider .

action

The well-known actress Mira Bruns appears in her ex-husband's company. After she tries to find him in his apartment on the upper floor, she finds him lying lifeless on the floor. He was killed with a chimney hook that is still at the scene. However, there are no fingerprints on it, but traces of Mira Bruns' lipstick on the corpse. Commissioners Schmücke and Schneider first shed light on the victim's environment. Dieter Fritsch had been divorced for years and had his own company, which his wife had financed for him when she was doing very well economically. In the meantime he was married to the attractive young Claudia, who, however, cannot be found straight away. Schmücke can only reach them late in the evening. According to her descriptions, she had done everything to please her husband and also to replace his beloved ex-wife. She had dressed like her, wore a wig and also used the same make-up to replace his wife as best she could. She always had the feeling that sooner or later she would lose her husband to Mira Bruns. Claudia Fritsch admits that she wanted to give her husband a lesson and that was why she was gone for so long, but she could never have harmed him.

The commissioners question Mira Bruns again and again to get more details, but they never find her really sober. They learn little by little that she still loves her husband and was financially dependent on him, as she has not received any engagements for years. She is simply not young enough for that anymore. So she has to ask her ex-husband for maintenance every month. This is not insignificant due to her youthful and sporty lover Lukas.

For Schmücke and Schneider, only one of the two women can be considered as the perpetrator. Both have no alibi, both use identical lipstick. However, after Claudia Fritsch misses her valuable jewelry and footprints are discovered on the terrace, a robbery and another perpetrator is also conceivable. The profile suggests golf shoes. After checking Lukas Stelzer's shoes, the forensic scientist is certain that he may have committed the break-in. Stelzer is arrested and admits that he broke into Fritsch's house to steal the jewelry. But he would not have killed anyone for it.

When Mira Bruns learns that her lover has been accused of murder, she admits to having killed Fritsch because, as is so often the case, they had argued over maintenance. After he insulted her and demanded that she leave Lukas Stelzer, she became so angry that she grabbed the fireplace hook and slammed it. She assumed he was still alive and ran away in a panic, but then returned to find Fritsch dead.
