Miss Shot is a German crime film by Thorsten Näter from 2009. It is the 300th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the 39th case for Schmücke and Schneider . The commissioners are dealing with a series of break-ins in which young people are suspected.
action
For six weeks, brazen burglars have been fooling the police. This time an old woman died in one of the burglaries who surprised the thieves. The inspectors Schmücke and Schneider take over the investigation and are convinced that these are not professional burglars.
When the inspectors are out and about together in the evening, they receive an emergency call from a colleague who asks for help if there is another break-in. Since they are in the immediate vicinity, they drive to the scene and thus surprise the gang of thieves. After one of the burglars pulls a gun and pulls the trigger, Schmücke shoots the man in self-defense. He is shocked to find out that it is a minor. The rest of the gang that escaped should also have consisted of young people. The 14-year-old Sascha Löbner is seriously injured and taken to the clinic, where he dies a few days later.
Schmücke is determined to find the people behind these "children". Sascha's circle of friends includes Mario Beiner, Kevin Mühlmann, Nicole Wieland and Pavel Schenk, who are known as uncomfortable rioters in their residential area. After the escape vehicle is found, traces in it can be assigned to the young people. After house searches, however, no stolen property can be seized and the young people keep silent and cover their clients. One track leads to the youth court, whose head is the convicted Michael Rossberg. He is very tough with the kids and assumes that this would be the best school in life.
When Kevin Mühlmann tackles the sensitive Mario Beiner so that he does not reveal anything, Schmücke can intervene, but the young people turn the tables and now threaten the inspector. When he defends himself, the children portray the whole thing as if Schmücke had threatened them. He is annoyed to have been lured into this trap and suspects the caretaker of the residential area, from which he had received the information that Mario Beiner was in danger.
Schmücke succeeds in getting Mario Beiner to talk, who has realized that the people behind it are to blame for the death of his friend Sascha. He betrays the well-known fence Rudolf Bröcker and his friend Peter Färber, who are then arrested. Mario also admits to pushing the old lady out of fear, which resulted in her death.

criticism
Tilmann P. Gangloff from tittelbach.tv thinks: “Thorsten Näter, who is versed in crime, is building on the tradition of the series for the 'Police Call' anniversary. Since it is clear relatively early on who the wanted perpetrators are, the author-director can concentrate heavily on their social situation. Also interesting from a cinematic point of view, good pace, striking cast. Bright spot of the often so snored MDR crime thrillers. "
For Quotenmeter.de Benjamin Müller writes similarly: "Although already the five youths are fixed as perpetrators after the first 15 minutes, the anniversary film gets its suspense by the investigators must find the perpetrators of burglaries and for that study the environment of juvenile offenders. In addition, the film indirectly deals critically with the social conditions in such focal points, which gives it an additional point. "
The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best possible rating (thumbs up) and found: “Smart social criticism packaged as a thriller”.
