Sven Lehmann (actor)
Sven Lehmann (born October 27, 1965 in Borna ; † April 3, 2013 in Berlin ) was a German actor .
Life
Lehmann began his acting training in 1990 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .
His first theater engagement took him to the Bremen theater in 1994 . In 1997 he moved to the Bayerische Staatsschauspiel in Munich , where he was seen as Leonce in Andreas Kriegenburg's production of Leonce and Lena . After moving to the German Theater in Berlin he played under the direction of Hans Neuenfels the Oedipus and began a close collaboration with director Michael Thalheimer . Under Thalheimer's direction, he played the bricklayer John in Gerhart Hauptmann's Die Ratten . The production was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2008 and received the Nestroy Theater Prize . Since 2009 he has also performed at the State Opera Unter den Linden .
His film work was limited to guest roles in German crime series and supporting roles. He played his first small film roles in The Last U-Boat , directed by Frank Beyer and in Margarethe von Trotta's The Promise . He was later seen in the television series Weissensee (episodes 1–12).
Lehmann died on April 3, 2013 at the age of 47 after a long and serious illness. His grave is in the Dorotheenstädtischer Friedhof in Berlin.
