A surefire plan is a German crime film by Jorgo Papavassiliou from 2011. It is the 318th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the 46th case for Schmücke and Schneider . For the Commissioner Nora Lindner ( Isabell Gerschke ) it is the fourth case in which she is investigating.

action

This time inspectors Schmücke and Schneider are faced with a ransom demand. One million euros are requested and no police should get involved, otherwise the 18-year-old Lissi Moltke would be killed. The two kidnappers use Lissi's cell phone to contact their stepfather, the lawyer Thomas Pfahl, but always switch it off to make it impossible to locate them. Contrary to the instructions, Lissi's mother informs the police, which, strangely enough, the kidnappers immediately learn and then double the ransom demand. Patrizia Moltke is a wealthy entrepreneur and divorced from Lissi's biological father. Attorney Thomas Pfahl persuades her that the police cannot be trusted and wants them to handle the ransom delivery on their own. They simulate the normal handover of money to the investigators and arrange a secret payment of the ransom behind the back of the police.

The investigators have since received a first trace of the kidnappers from an attentive citizen who noticed a blue delivery van. Through the questioning of Lissi's girlfriend, Natascha von Endert, Inspector Schmücke learns that Lissi has a boyfriend named Timo Lünemann. While Inspector Schneider and Inspector Nora Lindner are observing the ransom delivery, Inspector Schmücke sets out to find Timo Lünemann alone. When he arrives at the apartment, he spots the blue van and is shot by one of the kidnappers without warning. Since he was on the phone with his colleague all the time, Schneider can quickly come to his aid and inform the emergency doctor. Schmücke is life-threateningly injured and is taken to the clinic.

Lissi Moltke is hidden by her kidnappers in a gazebo and tied with cable ties. Although the perpetrators appear masked, she thinks she recognizes her friend Timo. Little does she suspect that it is René Scheffler, Timo's half-brother, who is getting more and more into an argument with Maik Canavar, the second kidnapper, after her surefire plan does not go as smoothly as planned. When Lissi almost manages to escape and the girl gets to see René Scheffler's face, Maik Canavar shoots his accomplice and flees with Lissi.

Rosamunde Weigand and Nora Lindner are now researching Timo Lünemann and find out that his half-brother lives in the same house and that a blue delivery van is registered for him. To find a trace of René Scheffler, ask Timo Lünemann, whom you can find after a long search. In the photo that the kidnappers took as a sign of life for Lissi, Timo recognizes the wallpaper on her old gazebo. When Schneider and Lindner arrive there, they only find René Scheffler's body. Timo knows that his brother had closer contact with the criminal Maik Canavar, who is then put out to be wanted.

Schneider is convinced that there is still a third man who must have informed the perpetrators that, contrary to the instructions, the police were called in and who must have the ransom because the ransom delivery schedule and the shooting at jewelry do not coincide fits. Schneider initially suspects Lissi's father when he finds out that Maik Canavar recently did an internship in his company. However, when the latter explains that the interns are always recommended to him by Thomas Pfahl, as he has always represented them in court and helps them with rehabilitation, and that Pfahl should bring the third suitcase to the handover location, everything is clear to the investigators. They go to Pfahl in his office and surprisingly meet Maik Canavar, who wants to get the money from Pfahl. You overwhelm him with the help of the SEK and can free Lissi slightly injured.

Pfahl had embezzled client funds, which had grown over his head. In the end, Commissioner Schmücke wakes up from his coma , which makes his colleagues much easier.

reception

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv thinks that a surefire plan is the best MDR “police call” in years, and writes about this fast-paced film: “Thrill is not the hallmark of the Halle police officers. Perhaps that is why Commissioner Schmücke is taken out of the line of fire at halftime in this kidnapping crime thriller. There is a lot going on - especially emotionally. Adorn the intensive care unit, Michelle Barthel once again as a kidnapping victim with big, frightened eyes. The dramaturgy with the open management of the perpetrators is right, the pace is good, the staging is precise, and the modern look with the image details that are unusual for the MDR refines the whole thing. "

TV Spielfilm showed the thumbs up and said: "For Halle conditions a crime thriller with a nasty bang, which was staged surprisingly tight and captivating."
