Jorgo Papavassiliou

Georgios "Jorgo" Papavassiliou (born July 1, 1968 in Trikala , Greece ) is a German- Greek film director and screenwriter .

Life

Georgios Papavassiliou spent his childhood in Greece before his family moved to Germany. He attended elementary school and graduated from high school in Welzheim . He studied communication sciences up to his intermediate diploma at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and completed his directorial studies at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in 1998 . Papavassiliou has been working as a director and screenwriter for German television since 2000. He directed larger TV films such as Hai-Alarm auf Mallorca and Die Sturmflut as well as a few episodes for TV series such as GSG 9 - Your Commitment is Your Life and Danni Lowinski .
