action

Eight-year-old Martha comes all alone and disturbed from the forest to a hut where mountain rescuers Markus and Michael are currently working in their free time. She can't remember what happened. Suddenly a cell phone rings and she no longer knows where she got it from. At the other end is Karin Junker from Salzburg, who wants to speak to her husband, who obviously owns the cell phone that Martha had with her. It can therefore be assumed that there must be a connection between Karin's husband Simon and Martha's mother Tina. Based on traces of blood that were found on Martha's jackets, it is clear that this blood came from her biological father. Since both are now missing, the mountain rescue team starts looking for them by helicopter. Markus and Toni let themselves be dropped off in the mountains, from where they continued on foot to the hut where they had found Martha. Since Martha remembers some of the time, she can give the mountain rescuers some hints. First, they can find the car that Martha's parents left in a parking lot in the mountains. Hiking maps that are in the car indicate the possible destination, a small chapel. Martha's mother is found seriously injured on a rock wall, but there is no trace of her father. As sunset approaches, the mountain rescue team starts a race against time. Martha's mother can no longer be flown into the valley due to the onset of fog, but has to stay in the mountains overnight. Dr. Verena Auerbach and paramedic Katharina Strasser take care of the injured person as best they can, but she ultimately dies of serious internal injuries.

The next morning, after a long search, Martha's father is finally found. He had gone with Martha to get help and fell down a slope himself. Stuck in a crevice, he could not free himself on his own.

Karin Junker has to soberly discover that Martha is her husband's daughter and that her best friend Tina cheated on her with her husband. Due to the dramatic events, the Junkers decide to take Martha in and take care of her.

Toni's future plans also change, because Pia surprisingly proposes marriage to him. But because she has to go back to Trieste, Toni is now faced with the difficult decision whether he will go to Trieste with his love or stay in Ramsau. Finally, he decides to leave Ramsau and to say goodbye to the mountain rescue team.
