action
The new head of the mountain rescue service, Markus Kofler, is not yet accepted by everyone as he is held responsible for the death of the former head of the mountain rescue service, Andreas. This had cut himself off from the rope on which he was hanging with a girl to be rescued, as it was impossible for Markus to pull both up in time. Tobias in particular, who was Andreas's best friend, didn't get along well with him at first.
At a bridge in the mountains, the bridge's fortifications were loosened, causing the bridge to loosen while Pia Hoefling crosses it. She travels alone, but manages to alert the mountain rescue so that they can rescue her at the last moment. Mountain rescuer Toni likes Pia and he tries to get to know her better.
Markus has an affair with the married Lisa Meixner, with whom he was already together in the past, before their marriage. Suddenly, however, Florian, the son of Lisa and Mike, Lisa's husband, a building contractor, disappears. Florian is out and about in the mountains with his grandfather Rupert. However, Rupert has a heart condition, which he has so far kept from his family. They both want to go into the valley, but the old man finds it increasingly difficult to cope with the long and increasingly strenuous journey. On behalf of Lisa and Mike, the mountain rescuers begin the search for Florian and grandfather Rupert.

Reviews
"Credible and very emotional characters [...] The individual storylines are very cleverly linked with one another [...] With the grandiose background and the helicopter, it also looks great. Even more: the viewer needs good nerves for a number of scenes [...] So the fans of the series will again be well served in the new season. The prelude had real cinema qualities and leaves nothing to be desired. "
