Gundula Niemeyer

Gundula Niemeyer (* 1978 in Bochum ) is a German actress .

Life

Niemeyer, who comes from Bochum and grew up in the Ruhr area , first worked for a television production company in Cologne after graduating from high school , where she also worked as a casting assistant. After all, she realized her childhood dream of becoming an actress and completed her acting training at the School for Drama in Hamburg from 2001 to 2004 .

In 2004 she was awarded the Friedrich Schütter Prize for the best school graduation piece. She played two roles in the production “Zapping Chekhov”, a “Best of” of four different plays by Anton Chekhov : the young Sonja in “ Uncle Vanya ”, who is in love with an older man, and the doctor Lvov in “ Ivanov “Who takes care of Ivanov's terminally ill wife. She played her first theater roles during her apprenticeship. a. in “ Die Bakchen ” (Director: Barbara Neureiter) and “ Eight Women ” (Director: Oscar Ortega Sánchez ). In 2005 she played at the Ernst Deutsch Jugend-Theater in Hamburg in the play "Zuckersyndrom" by Lucy Prebble ; she embodied the female lead Dani, who visits virtual chat rooms to escape her everyday life. In 2006 she appeared at the Altonaer Theater in Hamburg as Laura in the play "Hotel zu den Zwei Welten" by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt . In 2007, when actress Jeannette Arndt made her directorial debut , she played Nancy in the screwball comedy "Don't say after midnight" by Peter Ackerman on the foyer stage of the Ernst Deutsch Theater . In 2008 Niemeyer went on tour with the Tournee-Theater Kempf across Germany; she played Tina in the comedy “The Woman from Before” by Roland Schimmelpfennig , at the side of Leslie Malton and Felix von Manteuffel , who also directed; she was the friend of the son of the couple in the act.

She had other theater engagements at the Theater in der Basilika (2004, 2008/2009 and 2010) and in 2009 at the Thuringia Summer Theater. There she played Gretchen in “ Faust ” in an open-air performance at the moated castle Ostramondra .

Niemeyer also works for film and television and is a speaker for radio plays and audio books. She first worked in a few short films. In 2006 she was seen in a leading role in the ZDF series “ Coast Guard ”. She played the Russian Marina, who, together with her brother Fyodor Fyodor, tries to flee to Germany as stowaways on a freighter by sea. She was part of the regular cast of the comedy series " Knallerfrauen ". In 2014/2015 she was seen in two episodes of the ARD early evening series “ A Fall of Love ” as a university lecturer Ulrike Machner.

Since 2011, Niemeyer has had a continuous supporting role in the ZDF series " Die Bergretter ". She plays the clinic doctor Dr. Verena Auerbach, who falls in love with the helicopter pilot Michael "Michi" Dörfler ( Robert Lohr ) in the current 7th season of the series .

Niemeyer lives in Hamburg.
