A case of love is a television film series of the first , the 2008-2014 on behalf of ARD Degeto and MDR from the CineCentrum GmbH was produced. From 2014 to 2016 it was continued as an early evening series.

Framework story films
Florian Faber is a star attorney who works in a prosperous Leipzig law firm. He is successful in his job, but also vain. For his clients, he wins almost every case with calculation and calculation. When a serious traffic accident occurs in which a family man is killed, he too is seriously injured and fights for his life in the hospital. From then on he changes his attitude and works professionally for the rights of the poor and becomes their good spirit. He terminates his lucrative partnership in a renowned law firm and opens his own practice with the help of his secretary, who is also at his side. In his cases in court, he often has to deal with his former partners who represent the other side.
Sarah Pohl, an attractive journalist for a Leipzig newspaper, often reports on cases that Faber hears in court. The young woman cannot quite believe that the for-profit lawyer should have changed so much. When she realizes she was wrong, the two of them work together and help and support each other. The two also become a couple privately.
Framework story series
Florian Faber runs a law firm with his wife Eva Sternberg. They have a daughter who is about one year old. Sarah Pohl reappears in Leipzig after a few years. Florian and Eva represent her and her ex-husband Karl Richter in various cases.
In the last episode for the time being, Florian is arrested by Sarah through an intrigue. However, despite his previous cheating with the nanny, his wife is behind him.

The first film was produced from March 31 to April 29, 2008 in Leipzig. It was broadcast on May 8, 2009. The second film, Clean Men , was produced between May 18 and June 18, 2010 and broadcast on May 6, 2011. The third film, Anna's Baby , was filmed for the first time in the fall, from November 13th to December 13th, 2012 and was broadcast on October 23rd, 2014. The first season of the series was filmed in Leipzig from March 4 to September 2014. The start of the series was on October 30, 2014 in the ARD's evening program .

| A family man dies in a traffic accident in which Florian is innocently involved. | Florian Faber represents Susanne Wörner, a single mother in a legal dispute against the rising politician René Tornow, who ruthlessly pursues his career. When he hits the young woman drunk, he stubbornly denies the fact that the case has to be tried in court. For an article, the journalist Sarah Pohl is researching the methods of a temporary work company that illegally smuggles women from Eastern Europe who then have to work under catastrophic conditions for a hotel and restaurant cleaning service. Pohl smuggles his way into one of the hotels in which the women work, and thereby obtains information that Faber can use in court for his client against the temporary workers company.

| Faber represents Max Siebert in court, who is resisting his termination without notice. Since the young man was not honest with his lawyer, Florian loses the case and has to suffer a bitter defeat. Siebert loses his job as a driver and is then left by his heavily pregnant girlfriend Anna. | Two years after journalist Sarah Pohl left Leipzig, she is returning. But while she was still at the airport, she was arrested on suspicion of tax evasion and placed in custody.
