Tilo Prückner (born October 26, 1940 in Augsburg ; † July 2, 2020 in Berlin ) was a German theater and film actor . Among other things, he became known for the incarnation of often eccentric characters in television productions such as Tatort , Adelheid and their murderers , Commissioner Lucas and Pensionnercops .

Life

Tilo Prückner was born in Augsburg in 1940 as the son of the pediatrician Alfred Prückner and his wife Dorothea Krause. The Prückner family has a long family tradition in Hof . He first attended St. Anna's grammar school in Augsburg, and later the Melanchthon grammar school in Nuremberg , where he graduated from high school in 1960 . In later years Prückner proved his versatility in numerous film and television productions. He embodied eccentrics of all kinds in a particularly striking way. Prückner had great success when he played the hypochondriac detective chief Gernot Schubert at the side of Evelyn Hamann and Heinz Baumann for six years in the television series Adelheid and their murderers .

Between 2001 and 2008 he investigated together with Robert Atzorn as chief detective Eduard Holicek in fifteen episodes of the ARD crime series Tatort . He also played concise supporting roles, such as in the episode " Never be free again ".

In addition, from 2003 until his death in 2020, he regularly worked in the ZDF crime series Kommissarin Lucas alongside the main actress Ulrike Kriener as their landlord Max Kirchhoff. From March 2015 he played the main role of the retired commissioner Edwin Bremer in the ARD early evening series Rentnercops . Between 2012 and 2016 he took on the role of Kluftinger sen. in the crime series Kommissar Kluftinger at the side of Herbert Knaup . Prückner remained active as an actor until his death.
