action

Henning Schwarz takes up a pastor's post in the St. Antonius parish in Frankfurt am Main . This is not easy for him, as he shot a young man in self-defense as a detective in the station district. He knows the worries and hardships of stranded livelihoods and therefore regularly works for the police. One of his best friends is Commissioner Reiner Berg , portrayed by Rainer Grenkowitz .

In 1995 Berg was transferred to the Federal Criminal Police Office in Wiesbaden . His successor is Commissioner Jan Fischer, played by Thure Riefenstein . Fischer's first case, a hostage situation in which Schwarz accidentally got caught, brings the two together. Since Fischer is a completely different personality from Berg, he and Schwarz initially have problems with each other, but can get together over time.

Reviews

One review of the film said: "'Black intervenes' primarily addresses those Christian values that anyone with a common sense of faith should consider to be right and right." It also questions the "classic black and white thinking of many fellow citizens." “The basic story lives [...] from its strong contrasts. Morality and belief are embedded in an environment at the lower edge of human existence. "

From the Catholic point of view it is criticized: “The priestly image represented here in the 'second reality of life, television' is hierarchical-conservative. Behind it stands a priest-centered, centralist church image. This can already be seen in the permanent collars, which is not exactly representative of the real pastors. ”Also denounced is“ the instrumentalization of diakonia for what is supposedly 'real', for example for the integration of faith and church ”and the role of parishioners who“ dem [Appear] to pastors as subordinate, either pale or in some way as inadequate and clichéd [...] even to stupid and idiotic. "

The eponymous hero “embodies a priest of old, pre-conciliar style, trimmed in a modern way. The goal of a biblical and spiritual renewal of the church and priesthood is ignored and sometimes even thwarted. What remains is uncertainty because the direction of the series does not match the basic direction of post-conciliar church life. "
