Lars von Saldern

Lars von Saldern (* 28. October 1965 in Neuss as Lars Kamper ) is a German actor , author and screenwriter .

Life

Lars Kamper made his Abitur at the Evangelical State School to the gate .

At the beginning of his career he won the script award of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for the screenplay "Straßenflimmern", which provided the basis for the ARD documentary "Frankfurt Bronx". Differences in content led to his distancing himself from the film. He wrote the screenplay “Blown through” for the series “ Schwarz intervenes ”. As an actor he played in various TV and theater productions in Germany, for example in the Fritz Remond Theater in Frankfurt "Gilley" in "Ich bin nicht Rappaport" and Marcel Cerdan and Theo Sarapo in "Piaf".

In 1996 he moved to Los Angeles and became a member of the Tracy Roberts Actors Studio .

In the USA he dealt with the subject of film production, financing negotiations with MGM and Universal in a leading role. He then became a member of the Producers Guild of America . He was the responsible producer and author of the documentary "Deeds Not Words" for the Discovery Channel with his partners Ramon Alfonso and Jochen Kunstler (* 1968).

He was also one of the producers of the feature film "Gone To Maui" for Hallmark , in which he also starred. He also co-produced the TV pilot "Mercenaries of the Lord" ( TBN ) and played in various independent films. In 2004 he moved back to Germany. Until 2008 he performed under the name Lars Kamper. In 2008 he married the former national basketball player Sophie von Saldern and took her name.

Lars von Saldern wrote the novel “Operation Actor”, published in 2011 by Federfrei Verlag, and together with Joachim Laupp “The Path of the Modern Samurai - Mindfulness as Way Art”, which was published in 2014 as Book on Demand .
