Kai Borsche

Kai Borsche (born November 27, 1938 in Kiel ) is a German cameraman and television director .

The eldest son of Dieter Borsche , who at the time of his birth had been employed at the municipal theaters of Kiel, left school after completing secondary school and did a traineeship in a photocopying factory in Wiesbaden as well as an apprenticeship as a camera maker. Kai Borsche gained his first practical experience in the film business as a material and sharpness assistant at various film companies.

As early as 1959, he took part in a film production for the first time and served as a camera trainee Günther Senftleben for the film Jacqueline . This was followed by camera assistants in productions by Stuart Rosenberg , Helmut Käutner , Dietrich Haugk and Michael Hausthar from the beginning of the 1960s . In 1966 he delivered his first independent camera work for the Süddeutscher Rundfunk . His early works include portraits of musicians about Alexandra and Katja Ebstein .

In 1985 Kai Borsche switched to directing. In that capacity, he has been involved in a plethora of popular television series, including A Home for Animals , SOKO 5113 , Heidi and Erni , A Case for Two , Dr. Sommerfeld - news from the Bülowbogen and big city area .

Kai Borsche has two daughters.
