Others

Each episode began with the following words spoken off-screen: Old houses. New houses. Invitingly friendly or unfriendly and dismissive. Facades behind which people live, people with worries and needs. Fates that are often hidden out of fear of the neighbors, out of shame, out of desperation. "The case next door" reports from the work of welfare .

The scripts were written by various authors, and several directors were involved in the creation of the series, including the lead actor Gerd Baltus. The broadcast day was always Wednesday, the broadcast took place at weekly intervals.

Episode actors can only sporadically be assigned to individual episodes, which is why they are not included in the episode lists.
