Derval de Faria

Derval de Faria (born November 9, 1934 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian actor , radio play speaker , dancer and author .

Life

Derval de Faria first appeared at public events when he was four years old. After completing his military service, he worked as a broadcaster and founded a ballet school. As a dancer he went on a European tour with the Brasiliana Ballet in 1955. He stayed in Germany and received a scholarship from the German Exchange Service . De Faria studied theater studies and received a diploma as a cultural and educational manager. As an actor, singer and emcee, he performed at the Friedrichstadt-Palast, among others . He also worked as a director and choreographer, as a writer, he wrote plays and scripts.

In addition to his work as a stage actor (for example at the Nationaltheater Mannheim , the Hamburg Ernst-Deutsch-Theater and the BAAL novo theater ), de Faria also acted repeatedly in front of the camera until 1999. In 1975 he played the leading role alongside Rutger Hauer in the adventure series Floris von Rosemund , and in 1997 in the German-Polish television series The Secret of Sagala .

He also worked in numerous radio play productions and lent his voice to various colleagues in the US crime series Miami Vice . De Faria was dubbed in the series Floris von Rosemund by Vittorio Casagrande . The Brazilian wrote his biography with the book Mein Obstgarten . In addition to Portuguese, Derval de Faria speaks fluent German, English, French and Spanish as his mother tongue.
