Private detective Frank Kross is an early evening series of the ARD , which was produced in 1971 and broadcast for the first time in 1972 from the beginning of April to the end of June weekly in the regional program of the Hessischer Rundfunk and was later adopted by all other regional broadcasters. The series was produced by TaunusFilm GmbH .
action
After 20 years of service, Frank Kross gives up his civil service career with the police and opens a detective agency. In cooperation with Commissioner Eberle, the lawyer Dr. Grabow and his niece Karin, a law student, are investigating various crimes that have taken him abroad several times, namely to Switzerland, Italy and Tunisia.
Others
The series was largely free from the representation of any violence, after director Neureuther had been accused of precisely this in his previous production Diamond Detective Dick Donald . Bruno Hampel's scripts were created according to police protocols, with great emphasis on attention to detail.
The actor Wolfgang Amerbacher, who played the role of Commissioner Eberle , voluntarily passed away two days after the end of the shooting.
Director Neureuther himself took on the role of a doctor in episode 6 ( head of Cleopatra ).
