Rudiger Bahr

Rüdiger Bahr (born January 19, 1939 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Bahr studied directing and performing arts at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart . As a theater actor, he began his career at theaters in Regensburg, Hanover and at the Kammerspiele in Munich . Between 1985 and 1997 he was seen at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin, as Götz von Berlichingen at the Jagsthausen Castle Festival , at the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel and at the Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg.

His voice is best known for dubbing Ed O'Neill as Al Bundy in the eleven-season sitcom A Terribly Nice Family . He also dubbed O'Neill a. a. in Police Report Los Angeles and most recently in Modern Family since 2012 . He also took on other series leading roles for Ted Danson as Sam Malone in the sitcom Cheers and as Dr. John Becker in Becker . He also dubbed William Shatner in My Three Sisters and Me .
