Jochen Langer

Jochen Langer (born November 14, 1953 in Hameln ) is a German writer .

Life

Jochen Langer grew up in Bad Honnef . After graduating from high school and doing community service , he studied German , theater studies and history at the University of Cologne from 1975 to 1980 . He then carried out various activities. Langer's prose and poetry first appeared in magazines and anthologies ; he also made contributions to newspapers and radio. In 1988 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . Langer lives with his family in Cologne .

Jochen Langer is the author of novels , poems and reviews . He received u. a. 1986 the Rolf Dieter Brinkmann scholarship from the city of Cologne , 1990 the Baldreit scholarship as town clerk of Baden-Baden , 1994 an Ireland travel scholarship from the Heinrich Böll Foundation , 1997 a scholarship from the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen Foundation and a grant from the Foundation in 1999 Art and culture of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia .
