Robert Naegele (born June 23, 1925 in Nattenhausen ; † January 9, 2016 in Munich ) was a German actor , writer and radio play author .

Life

Robert Naegele did an apprenticeship in a Krumbach hardware store before he was captured as a Wehrmacht soldier. After his return he completed a business apprenticeship in Ebershausen and took lessons from the actress Marga Braune in Memmingen . Naegele received a student contract from the Stadttheater Memmingen and, after attending the drama schools in Stuttgart and Munich, got his first engagement in Ulm in 1949 .

From 1950 to 1973 he appeared on the following stages: Landestheater Coburg , Theater Ulm , Theater der Stadt Trier , Stadttheater St. Gallen , Städtische Bühnen Mainz , Städtische Bühnen Dortmund , Staatstheater Oldenburg , Fritz-Rémond-Theater in the zoo in Frankfurt am Main , Comedy in the Marquardt in Stuttgart , Kammerspiele Hamburg , Kammerspiele Munich , Bavarian State Theater .

His roles included the title role in Don Carlos , Bleichenwang in What You Want , Armand in Anouilhs Colombe , Prince of Guastalla in Emilia Galotti and Richard Ratcliff in King Richard III.

Naegele has worked in feature films and has taken on over 250 roles in television productions. As an author he wrote eight Swabian books. He has written plays and numerous radio plays, and also released the LP Adventure of the Seven Swabians .

He was responsible for compiling and directing 100 programs “Bavarian Heart - Schwaben Edition”. Naegele was awarded the Wilhelmine-Lübke-Hörspielpreis and the Golden Badge of Honor of the Bavarian Radio. He was a member of the Munich Tower Schreiber , from whom he was awarded the Bavarian Poetentaler in 1998.

Naegele died in January 2016 at the age of 90 in a senior citizens' home in Munich . He was buried in the cemetery of Burlafingen, a district of Neu-Ulm .
