Councilor Schumann is a television series produced by ARD . It was broadcast on regional evening programs from January 1974. A committed local councilor fights for her citizens.

The married teacher Ulla Schumann ( Antje Hagen ) works at a comprehensive school. At work and in her private life, she is full of drive. Her husband Kurt works for an engineering office and privately coaches the local women's handball team after work. Since both are still childless, Ulla finds time to get involved as a councilor in local politics. She is resolutely committed to the welfare of her fellow citizens and does not shy away from messing with her party friends.
