Rolf Castell (actor)
Rolf Castell bourgeois. Name Rudolf Assel (born May 28, 1921 in Munich ; † August 3, 2012 there ) was a German folk and theater actor and director . He was also an artistic speaker and television writer for documentaries for Bayerischer Rundfunk .
Life
Due to the Second World War , Castell had to break off his studies in acting and theater studies and was drafted into military service. Since the late 1940s, Castell was engaged on German theaters, seen in movies and later already involved in test broadcasts on television.
Castell was the Peter in the Brandner Kaspar . The versatile actor spoke the role of the Tegernsee locksmith Kaspar Brandner, who outsmarted death, in several radio plays .
Rolf Castell became known as Kriminalrat Schubert at the side of Helmut Fischer in the crime series Tatort and in many plays of the comedy nobility . In 1983 the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation awarded him the Medal of Merit and in 2002 the City of Munich awarded him the Medal Munich Shines in Silver.
Castell died on August 3, 2012 at the age of 91. It rests in the Bogenhausen cemetery in Munich. He was posthumously honored with the Bavarian Order of Merit on October 10, 2012 .
