Zur Freiheit is a television series by Franz Xaver Bogner that was produced for Bayerischer Rundfunk .

action

Freedom becomes the new name of the long-established but run-down slaughterhouse in the Munich slaughterhouse ; the guests are mostly butchers from the slaughterhouse. Paula, the owner of the wholesale market hall kiosk , is forced to give up by her competitor and then leases the inn. Franz Xaver Bogner draws a fine picture of the milieu characters and tells new stories from the " stomach of Munich " in each episode .

Others

After Zur Freiheit was broadcast, the “Wirtshaus im Schlachthof”, which actually existed in Munich's Zenettistraße (and was then renovated), became a popular cultural meeting place. The cabaret series Ottis Schlachthof with Ottfried Fischer was produced here.

Toni Berger meets himself in a cameo in the “carnival sequence” Fata Morgana when the comet approaches from a dark corridor in the basement of the Boandlkramer during the carnival ball , but disappears into the darkness after a brief exchange of words without having achieved anything . The “Isarindianer” Willy Michl appears as a guest in the episode Schein or Sein and sings his song “Isarflimmern”. Before that there is an argument because the artist does not want to perform if he does not get pancake soup. There is an allusion to this episode in the series Der Bulle von Tölz . As a result of the closed season , Ottfried Fischer alias Benno Berghammer asks Willy Michl what kind of argument he had with his mom alias Ruth Drexel. He replied that it was about a pancake soup. The surname "Berghammer" also appears in the series "Zur Freiheit". Hans Brenner plays a real estate manager by the same name.

Broadcast Notes

From October 1987 to December 1988 the series was broadcast for the first time in the ARD regional program of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation and later repeated several times in the third program of the BR.

music

As in almost all of FX Bogner's television series, he wrote the music for Zur Freiheit Haindling alias Hans-Jürgen Buchner ; he also appears as himself in the series and plays the series song: "Paula".
