Life

After graduating from high school in Erding , an apprenticeship in a Munich copy factory followed. In addition to his training at the University of Television and Film Munich from 1970 to 1973, he also studied American Studies . After some work as a documentary filmmaker, he was best known for series for the Bavarian radio . With the 68 series Somehow and Anyway , Bogner achieved cult status. The series Café Perjury ran for 14 years , in which he describes Bavarian forms of administration of justice. In autumn 2004, the first season of the series Munich 7 ran on Bavarian television , the second season with four episodes in April and May 2006.

Bogner received the Bavarian Television Prize for his films and series , the Adolf Grimme Prize twice and the Romy Prize in 1998 . He is married and has four kids.

Both Somehow and Sowieso and later The Emperor of Schexing moved Bogner narrative in the district of Ebersberg where he was even born, and grew up. This can be clearly seen from the vehicle license plate. Most place names within both series, however, were chosen fictitiously. His film Madame Bäurin is also set in the same district not far from the Bavarian capital, which in this case was due to the novel by the local writer Lena Christ , which in turn came from this.
