Golden gong

The Golden Gong is a media award from the television magazine Gong and was awarded for the first time on March 16, 1979. The award is usually made annually and is awarded by the editorial conference for fictional and non-fictional programs; the jury honors outstanding achievements on television.

The golden gong is not endowed with a monetary amount. The award winner receives a certificate and a sculpture designed by the artist Christoph Böllinger.

jury

The jury is made up of all of the magazine's editors. The vote on the award must be unanimous. If no agreement can be reached on a prize winner, the prize will not be awarded.

Divisions

The prize can be awarded in the categories of acting, direction, editing, sound, supervising editing, script, moderation, camera or production.
