Heiko Waßer , also Heiko Wasser (born October 3, 1957 in Gladbeck ) is a German sports journalist . He is a commentator on the Formula 1 races on RTL .

Life

From 1976 Waßer worked, among other things, as a freelancer at WAZ . From 1985 to 1986 Waßer worked as an animator in the Robinson Club Nea Sivota / Greece . He also worked as a freelancer for Radio ffn and WDR . From 1987 to 1991 Waßer was the editor of the scene newspaper "Nachtzähne". From 1990 he worked as an editor at Radio Ruhrwelle Bochum. In early 1992, the then designated sports director Burkhard Weber brought him to RTL. From April 1, 1992, he was mainly employed there as an editor .

Since May 9, 1993, Waßer has been commenting on Formula 1 races for RTL, initially alongside Jochen Mass , and since 1998 with Christian Danner . He received the German Television Award , the Golden Gong and the Sport Bild Award for reporting .

In 2006 he dubbed the voice of the Piston Cup commentator Heiko Water in the film Cars . From 2007 until the program was discontinued, he moderated together with Florian König at VOX Die Kocharena . He also comments on the football games on RTL . He also commented on the games on the show Alle auf den Klein with Oliver Pocher on RTL.
