Bernd Stelter (born April 19, 1961 in Unna ) is a German carnivalist , comedian , actor , singer and television presenter .

Career

Stelter first studied economics in Bonn . There he became a member of the Association of German Students , from which he later resigned.

At the beginning of the 1980s, Bernd Stelter released LPs ( We can't care less , 1982; Look at your face , 1984) with partly funny chansons and partly critical political songs. He was also a moderator for WDR 4 and RPR for a long time . He was also the “ Station Voice ” at Antenne Bayern for years .

Stelter had his first television appearance in 1990 as a candidate for the program " Wheel of Fortune" . He is known from television mainly through his broadcasts on RTL , especially as a member of the regular cast of the comedy show 7 Days, 7 Heads , which made him known throughout Germany. He also played the lead role in the sitcom Bernds Hexe . In 2007 Stelter switched to WDR , for which he presented the ARD show Germany laughs and until 2016 presented the regular quiz program Das NRW-Duell on WDR television. Stelter has been active in the Cologne carnival since November 6, 1988 . The figure of the "advertising specialist" made him popular in the Cologne meeting carnival . Private life and social engagement

On his father's side, Bernd Stelter comes from a displaced family from Wartheland in what is now Poland . He is married and lives with his wife Anke and their two children (a daughter and a son) in Bornheim-Hersel . Stelter spends around two months a year in a fixed caravan on the Walcheren peninsula on the Dutch North Sea coast.

In his numerous appearances in quiz shows, in which the aim is to earn money for a good cause, such as in the celebrity specials from Wer wird Millionär , he primarily plays for the Bornheimer Bürgerstiftung Our Children - Our Future, which he initiated .
