Well so what!

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Well so what! was a TV show on ZDF from 1982 to 1987 , moderated by Thomas Gottschalk . It was a mixture of talk and music show about the "normal madness" of everyday life. One focus was the presentation of special abilities and actions of people, which makes the broadcast similar to Wetten, dass ..? would have. The 45-minute program was broadcast first on Mondays, then on Wednesdays and finally on Saturdays from 7.30 p.m. to 8.15 p.m., so also before Wetten, dass ..? In the meantime there were also some 90-minute "extra" issues.

The show's title song was the instrumental piece 1980-f by the group After the Fire . This title is still often used today as a melody to "heat up" people, e.g. B. used before football games or at parties.

Responsible ZDF editor and later producer of the show was Holm Dressler, who at the same time also looked after Wetten, Frank Elstner.

In 1985, Klaus Kinski's appearance caused a sensation , in which he refused to answer Gottschalk's questions.

In the movie Seitenstechen with Mike Krüger there is a scene in which Mike is on the show Na sowas! appears at Thomas Gottschalk. A side stitch is about Mike Krüger becoming pregnant as a man, which is of course a sensation and thus in the framework of Na sowas! fits.

Thomas Gottschalk received the Golden Gong for this broadcast in 1983 and the Golden Camera in 1985 . When Gottschalk moderated Wetten, dass ..? took over, the format was broadcast on the same slot under the name Na siehste! continued with Günther Jauch as moderator. And some time after Gottschalk broadcast Wetten, dass ..? had taken over - at first there was criticism in the press of his moderation style, which was more cheeky than Frank Elstner - the concept of Wetten, dass ..? more adapted to him, thus approaching Wetten, dass ..? the previous concept of Na sowas! on. After Gottschalk moderated Wetten, dass ..? ended, his talk show Gottschalk Live, which was planned afterwards, was partly with Na sowas! compared, although the typical element - unknown people show something special - was not included in the concept. The talk show ran only a few months on the first .
