Ernst Arendt
Ernst Arendt (* 1949 in Bad Wildungen ) is a German animal filmmaker who, together with Hans Schweiger, has been producing the successful animal film series " Animals in front of the camera " since 1977 . He is the son of the open-air and object painter Trude Hoppe-Arendt and has received several major television awards for his work.
Awards
- 1979 - Golden gong for animals in front of the camera
- 1989 - Golden Camera in the wildlife filmmaker category
- 1990 - Adolf Grimme Prize with bronze for the episode The Nights of the Tasmanian Devil from Animals in front of the camera (together with Hans Schweiger )
- 1991 - Bavarian TV Prize for Landscape Song from the Animals in Front of the Camera series
- 2005 - Görlitzer Meridian Naturfilmpreis together with Hans Schweiger
- 2006 - DUH environmental media award for his life's work
- 2012 - NaturVision Film Festival Audience Award for Highway through the Rocky Mountains - Fall
