Mona Botros is a German journalist and filmmaker .

Life

Until 1983 Mona Botros studied geology and marine science in Canada and the USA, then journalism in Hanover. After studying journalism, she worked for Spiegel TV . During several stays abroad in the USA , she also worked for Focus TV and Spiegel Online .

Mona Botros specializes in reports and documentaries , with a particular focus on the machinations of Scientology and animal welfare . For her report Looking for ... the dark side of Scientology she received the Golden Gong in 1997 together with Egmont R. Koch and the Intermedia Globe Silver Award in 2007 for knowledge of the sea from the deep sea to the atmosphere . Your documentary Die Todesfahrt des ICE 884 was nominated for the German Television Award.
