Rolf Brederlow (born June 17, 1961 in Mackenbach ), better known by his stage name Bobby Brederlow , is a German actor .

Life

Brederlow, who was born with Down syndrome , first became generally known through the four-part TV series Love and Other Disasters , in which he played "Bobby Ackermann" alongside Senta Berger , Friedrich von Thun and Suzanne von Borsody in 1999 played. According to his own statements, his stage name "Bobby" comes from this film. With this name he then played the leading role ("Bobby Kustermann") in the autobiographical feature film Bobby (2001), in which he played with Veronica Ferres . In the feature film Tollpension (2006) he can be seen as "Rolf Weiher" at the side of Uwe Ochsenknecht .

He appeared in various series as a guest, for example in Tatort , in All Friendship , Powder Park , Klinikum Berlin Mitte and For all cases Stefanie . Bobby Brederlow can also be seen occasionally in commercials, including from Aktion Mensch . Several times he was the sponsor of the Down Sports Festival, which has been taking place in Germany at least once a year since 2003 . He supported the campaign You are Germany .

He has lived in Munich since his mother's death in 1989 , together with his brother Gerd Brederlow and his partner. In addition to his work as an actor, he works in a workshop for people with disabilities . In his spare time, painting pictures is one of his favorite pastimes.
