Urs Egger
Urs Johannes Egger (born March 9, 1953 in Bern ; † January 18, 2020 in Berlin ) was a Swiss film and television director .
Life
Urs Egger reported from 1975 to 1977 as a film correspondent from Los Angeles for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung , the Cinema Papers (Sydney) and other publications.
He made a Director -Training as Director Fellow at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. From 1993 he lived mainly in Berlin. From the 1990s, Egger staged numerous television productions for public television, which were awarded three Adolf Grimme prizes , among other things . He died in January 2020 at the age of 66 after a long illness in Berlin.
