The Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art is a ministry of the Free State of Bavaria responsible for science and art . Before 2018, it existed from 1986 to 1990 and from October 1998 to October 2013 as the State Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts (StMWFK). Before and in between, the Ministry's areas of responsibility were part of the Ministry of Culture .
history
After the former Bavarian Ministry of Education was split between 1986 and 1990 into a State Ministry for Education and Culture and a State Ministry for Science and Art (Minister: Wolfgang Wild ), the Bavarian State Ministry for Education, Culture, Science and Art was divided again in October 1998 . From this emerged the Bavarian State Ministry for Science, Research and Art with the then Minister Hans Zehetmair and the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture with the then Minister Monika Hohlmeier .
In 2013, both departments were merged again to form the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture, Science and Art . In March 2018 (when the Söder I cabinet was formed ), the division again took place. Since then, the ministry has borne his name.
