Ministry of Art

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A ministry of art is a ministry that deals with matters relating to art policy . It can be found where the arts represent a particular state-political factor. The portfolio generally includes matters such as monument protection , cultural heritage , but also copyright law and the promotion of contemporary art . In recent years they can be found especially in countries that do not pursue the European-influenced museum (building) cultural heritage concept, but rather the modern concept of intangible cultural heritage as a living art tradition. Otherwise these matters are also assigned to a ministry of culture , culture or the ministry of the interior .
