Georg Eisenreich (born December 6, 1970 in Munich ) is a German politician ( CSU ) and a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . On March 21, 2018, he became Minister of State for Europe, Digital and Media in the Söder I cabinet . On November 12, 2018, he was appointed Minister of State for Justice in the second Söder cabinet .

Georg Eisenreich is Roman Catholic, married and has three children.

education and profession

Georg Eisenreich graduated from Ludwigsgymnasium in Munich in 1990 and then studied law at the University of Munich . In 1999 he passed the second state examination in law. He then worked as a lawyer in Munich.

politics

Eisenreich has been a member of the CSU since 1990, has been the district chairman of the CSU Munich South since 1999 and has been the deputy district chairman of the CSU Munich since 2011. Between May 2002 and October 2003, Eisenreich was an honorary city councilor in Munich. Georg Eisenreich has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament ( constituency Munich 101 ) since October 6, 2003 . From 2008 to 2013 he was deputy chairman of the committee for education, youth and sport as well as education policy spokesman for the CSU parliamentary group. From 2010 to 2013 he headed the intergroup of the Bavarian State Parliament for the implementation of the UN Disability Rights Convention . He represents the constituency of Munich-Hadern ( constituency of Upper Bavaria ) in the state parliament. On October 9, 2013, Prime Minister Horst Seehofer appointed him to his cabinet as State Secretary for Education and Culture, Science and Art. From March to November 2018 he was Bavarian State Minister for Europe, Digital Affairs and Media in the Söder I cabinet and has been Bavarian State Minister of Justice in the Söder II cabinet since November 2018 .

In the state elections in 2018 , he received the direct mandate for the Munich-Hadern constituency with 29.1% .
