Carolina Trautner (born May 25, 1961 in Augsburg ) is a German politician ( CSU ) and since February 2020 Bavarian State Minister for Family, Labor and Social Affairs .

Career

Trautner graduated from the Stetten Institute in 1980 , studied pharmacy at the University of Würzburg and worked as an employed pharmacist until 2013.

From 1999 to 2013 she was chairwoman of the CSU local association Stadtbergen . Since 1999 she has been a board member of the Stadtbergen Women's Union . In 2001 she was elected to the board of the CSU district association Augsburg. From 2005 to 2015 she was deputy CSU district chairman before she was elected CSU district chairwoman on May 9, 2015 in Nordendorf with around 91 percent of the votes.

In the local elections in 2002, she moved into the district council of the Augsburg district and the municipal council of Stadtbergen, where she was elected deputy parliamentary group chairman.

After Max Strehle renounced a renewed candidacy for the state parliament , Trautner was elected in October 2012 with 68 out of 109 delegate votes as his successor as a direct candidate in the Augsburg-Land-Süd constituency in the 2013 state elections. On September 15, 2013, she secured her entry into the state parliament.

From March 21 to November 12, 2018, she was State Secretary in the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture . From November 12, 2018 to February 6, 2020, she was State Secretary at the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs . She has been the Bavarian State Minister for Family, Labor and Social Affairs since February 6, 2020.

Trautner is Protestant, married and has two grown children.
