Richard Oechsle
Richard Oechsle (born May 27, 1898 in Lahr / Black Forest ; † May 12, 1986 in Munich ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( SPD ).
Life and work
After attending school, Oechsle completed a commercial apprenticeship and then worked as a bank clerk. From 1921 to 1926 he was Gau managing director of the free trade union general association of German bank employees for Bavaria. He joined the labor administration service in October 1926, initially at the Munich labor office and from 1928 at the Bavarian state labor office. After the National Socialists came to power, he was dismissed for political reasons in 1933. From 1934 to 1945 he held leading positions in the private sector and also worked as an economic and tax advisor.
After the Second World War , Oechsle worked in the Bavarian State Ministry for Labor and Social Welfare, was appointed Ministerial Director and from 1947 headed the “Labor” department. Later he was chairman of the Institute for Social Policy and Labor Law in Munich. He was also the editor of a series of sociopolitical publications and co-editor of the trade journals Arbeit, Beruf und Arbeitslosenhilfe and Das Arbeitsamt .

Oechsle joined the SPD in 1920.

Oechsle was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1950 to 1970 , where he was chairman of the committee for economics and transport from 1955 to 1970 and deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group from 1962 to 1970.
Public offices
From December 18, 1950 to December 14, 1954, Oechsle was Minister of State for Labor and Social Welfare in the State Government of Bavaria led by Prime Minister Hans Ehard .
