Gebhard luck
Gebhard Glück (born June 18, 1930 in Munich ; † March 24, 2009 in Passau ) was a German educator , party official and politician ( CSU ).
Life and work
After graduating from high school in 1949 at the Alte Realgymnasium (today Oskar-von-Miller-Gymnasium ) in Munich, Glück began studying German, history and sports at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , which he did in 1954 with the first and in 1956 with the second Finished state examination. He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Erlangen operates, in July 1962 he to Dr. phil. PhD.
Glück entered the school service, worked as a teacher at the Ohm secondary school in Erlangen . He then worked as a high school teacher at the Leopoldinum in Passau . Here he was last promoted to senior studies director.
He had three children with his wife Annemarie (née Freislederer).
Political party
Glück joined the CSU in 1963. From 1967 to 1979 he was chairman of the CSU district association Passau-Stadt and deputy chairman of the CSU district of Lower Bavaria . He was also elected to the regional executive committee of the Christian Socialists. From 1997 to 2005 he acted as chairman of the senior citizens' union of the CSU .
MP
Glück was a council member of the city of Passau from 1966 to 1990. He was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1970 to 1998. From 1974 to 1984 he was deputy chairman of the CSU parliamentary group.
Public offices
Glück held office from July 17, 1984 to June 14, 1988 as State Secretary for Labor and Social Affairs in the government of the Free State of Bavaria led by Prime Minister Franz Josef Strauss . From September 30, 1987 to June 14, 1988 he also took over the post of State Secretary in the State Ministry for Education and Culture . After Karl Hillermeier resigned , he was appointed Minister of State for Labor and Social Affairs on June 14, 1988. He was also a member of the follow-up government headed by Prime Minister Max Streibl and since February 1, 1991 he has held the title of Minister of State for Labor, Family and Social Affairs. From June 17, 1993 to October 27, 1994 he was Minister of State for Labor and Social Affairs, Family, Women and Health in the state government led by Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber . Barbara Stamm then took over the management of the ministry.
