Munich 7 is a police series by Franz Xaver Bogner . The television series is set in Munich and is about the everyday life of the guard in the fictional police station Munich 7 . The main characters are the well-known “Sheriff vom Marienplatz ” Xaver Bartl and his new colleague Felix Kandler. The series is rather humorous. In contrast to crime series, Munich 7 does not focus on criminal cases, but rather on crimes and administrative offenses as well as the lives of the police. Bogner therefore calls his series the police series . Between 2012 and 2015, München 7 ran under the Heiter brand to fatal : München 7 . The series was discontinued after the 7th season in 2016.

Xaver Bartl is a long-established Munich resident, deeply rooted in the city center and knows "his territory". He is also known as the "Sheriff of Marienplatz". Xaver and his sister Irmi own the hotel on the market , which offers a wonderful view of the market stalls of the Viktualienmarkt . Bogner was able to win over cabaret artist Andreas Giebel and ex- Marienhof actor Florian Karlheim for the leading roles . He cast other roles with well-known cabaret artists such as Luise Kinseher and Eisi Gulp , well-known actors from his other series such as Erich Hallhuber , who no longer saw the broadcast of the series, Christian Lerch and other actors who convince with their authentic Bavarian . In the first episode, Felix Kandler comes to the station and is assigned to Xaver Bartl for instruction. He actually wanted the new colleague and then gave up the job again. Initially, 13 episodes were produced for Bayerischer Rundfunk . The first nine episodes of which were created in 2003 and 2004. The other four episodes filmed in 2005 were broadcast in April and May 2006.
