G.Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos

G.Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos is an eleven-piece Munich band founded in 1999 .

history

The band members composed and played the music for Franz Xaver Bogner's TV series Munich 7 . The band was nominated for the Adolf Grimme Prize in 2005.

The band leader Andreas Staebler runs a record store in Munich under the name Gutfeeling Recordstore, Daniel Kappla runs the record label Gutfeeling Records , where the releases of G.Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos and befriended bands appear.

Almost the entire album Lucky Goddam and other newly composed pieces were used for the soundtrack for the German movie Meer is nich (2008) . In addition, some members of G.Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos played some leading roles in this German music and youth film. Sascha Schwegeler is the drum teacher of the main character Lena, Andreas Staebler and Mathias Thar can be seen (as in real life) in the punk band Analstahl. Like G.Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos, Analstahl is a band of the Gutfeeling label.

Some members of the band are also active in a smaller line-up as Dos Hermanos as well as G.Rag and the Landlergschwister. In 2013 the latter received the “Star of the Year” from the Munich evening newspaper in the “New Homeland Sounds” category.
